Harris Park Odette (ET)

Harris Park Odette (ET) (Pref Keur OO Seven x Winterkönig x Daktylus) is an Australian Warmblood mare bred by Shanna Antrim of Harris Park Warmbloods. Odette, affectionately known as Odie, was named after Odette, the most beautiful of the maidens, from Swan Lake.

A black mare with unusual white markings, Odette was born mid afternoon on 23 September 2013. A daughter of the imported KWPN stallion Pref Keur OO Seven (Imp) (Rubinstein I x Doruto x Amor) out of my Hanoverian Main Stud Book mare Kinnordy Winona (Dec) (Winterkönig x Daktylus x Goldstein).

In February 2014, Odette participated in the AWHA Ltd National Assessment Tour. With an overall score of 81.25% with individual scores of 8.75 for type, 8.5 for body and 8.25 for foundation and overall impression. Comments by assessors Joanne Verikios (AUS) and Lynne Crowden (UK) included, "Harmonious and modern type, very good hind quarters. Quite charismatic filly with nice dry limbs." She was later classified as a three year old by classifiers Silvia Ahamer (NSW) and Joanne Verikios (QLD) during the AWHA Ltd 2017 National Championship and Classification Tour and is now designated Main Stud Book.

Odette was lightly started by Fred Watkins of Watkins Horse Handlers in August-September 2017 as a four year old and has returned home to rest and further mature. She will return to further her training in May 2018.

Harris Park Odette (ET) is a ½ sibling to a number of Kinnordy Winona's progeny bred by Holger and Melanie Schmorl of Kinnordy Stud as well as Harris Park Riordan (ET) by the Hannoveraner stallion Riverside (Imp) (Regazzoni x Donnerhall x Pik König), Harris Park Freestyler by the Oldenburger stallion Floriscount OLD (IFS) (Florencio I x Donnerhall x Walldorf I) and Harris Park Enigma (Dec) by the Westfalen stallion Estobar NRW (IFS) (Ehrentusch x Ferragamo x Florestan I).

Harris Park Odette (ET) has been retained as a broodmare.

"The walk is sufficiently big and has a great deal of power and tact. OO Seven has adequate scope at the trot and is light on his feet with good balance and tact. He bends the hindleg well, but he should lower the croup during transitions. The canter has good scope and a great deal of balance. It is easy to close him at the canter. His foreleg remains a little flat while moving. OO Seven has a great deal of talent for dressage and gives his rider a very good feeling." KWPN. OO Seven scored 8.0 points for walk, 9.0 points for trot, canter and dressage ability, giving him a dressage subtotal of 35.0 points (1/12). OO Seven's dressage breeding value as of 2008 was 137 points with a reliability breeding value for dressage of 88 points.

In 2003 and 2004, three of OO Seven's sons were selected to go to the second selection in Den Bosch, The Netherlands, because of their very good movement. At the Central Show in Veghel, The Netherlands, seven of his progeny were declared 'ster' daughters and went on to become preliminary 'keur'. At CK Heerjansdam, The Netherlands, Unique (OO Seven x Indoctro x Aktion) was Reserve Champion 3 Year Old Mare at the National Mare Show. In Ermelo NMK, Zharamaria placed fourth and was the auction highlight at Borrulo selling for 16,000 €. In the Ermelo final, VSN for 3 Year Old Sporthorses, Seven Up (Upseven?) OO Seven is a unique combination of top class pedigrees including Rubinstein I (Rosenkavalier x Angelo xx x Donar) and Doruto (Komet x Pindar xx x Hirtensang), the world's best dressage producers ever. His dam Gelbria (Doruto x Amor x Pasha) is a full sister to Olympic Barbria. Expectations are high for OO Seven because of his outstanding pedigree. Sire Rubinstein I was active on the highest level in dressage, and his dam Gelbria also competes at Grand Prix level. Almost 70 sons of the legendary Rubinstein I are approved and several of his youngstock are winners in the show ring and are successful in competitions. Rubinstein I offspring also guarantees good prices at auctions. Dam Gelbria is by Doruto out of the Amor-mare Ilbira (Amor x Pasha x Karolus van Wittenstein). Ilbria is also dam of Vobria, who is dam of the Grand Prix dressage horse Celiton. Both Barbria and Celiton had a significant input for the KWPN, being the best studbook according to the World Breeding Championships for Sport Horses (WBCSH) in 1999. A son of Gelbria, Kadans competes at Prix St George level. Other full sisters to Gelbria and Barbria are Ezabria, National 1989 UTV champion mare as a 3 year old. Also Columbria was the fifth placed mare at the 1987 National UTV Championships for 3 year old mares.

The Sydney CDI in May, 2012, saw OO Seven place third in the CDI Prix St George, second in the Intermediate I and third in the Intermediate I Freestyle.

OO Seven and David were the proud winners of their first ever Grand Prix with a score of 66% at the Hawkesbury Dressage Champs in June, 2012, followed by 66.00% at the August DNSW competition. July saw David head north with OO Seven for the QLD Festival of Dressage and Prydes Easifeed Brisbane CDI. At their first big CDI Grand Prix show, David and OO Seven were third in the Grand Prix and performed an almost faultless freestyle to finish first on 70.425%.

The NSW State Dressage Championships in August, 2012, were a huge success for OO Seven.
