HORSE DESCRIPTION
Harris Park Riordan (ET) is an Australian Warmblood mare bred by Shanna Antrim of Harris Park Warmbloods. A daughter of the imported, Premium Licensed and Performance Tested Hanoverian stallion Riverside (Imp) (Regazzoni x Donnerhall x Pik König) from my Hanoverian Main Stud Book mare Kinnordy Winona (Dec) (Winterkönig x Daktylus x Goldstein). Pictured left: Harris Park Riordan under co-owner/rider Charlotte Cox competing in The Saddlefitter 2023 Brisbane CDI and QLD Dressage Championships held at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre (QSEC) on Saturday 16 September 2023 in the Elementary EA Championship 3.2 Adult Amateur Owner Rider (AOR) (8/12) and Elementary EA Championship 3.3 AOR (7/11) finishing in eighth place in the AOR Elementary Championship. Riordan was classified by Michael Schmidt (GER) and Rosalind Meadmore (AUS) on 17 January 2016 and is now designated Head Stud Book with the Australian Warmblood Horse Assocation Limited (AWHA Ltd). Comments by the classifiers included, "Very good Warmblood type with lots of growing to do. This filly should grow into a really nice big mare." On 02 September 2017, Riordan was classified by Kevin Lewis from the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia (HHSA) and is now designated Main Stud Book with the HHSA.
Riordan was lightly started by Fred Watkins of Watkins Horse Handlers in October-November 2017 as a five year old. In April 2021 Riordan was brought back into work by Shane and Mattea Davidson of Davidson Equestrian after having had two foals. Riordan left Davidson Equestrian to live with my friend, Charlotte Cox. Charlotte has been training and competing Riordan at Preliminary level dressage. I will continue to breed with Riordan via embryo transfer, using her as a donor mare.
Harris Park Riordan (ET) is a ½ sibling to a number of Kinnordy Winona's progeny bred by Holger and Melanie Schmorl of Kinnordy Stud as well as Harris Park Odette (ET) by the KWPN stallion Pref Keur OO Seven (Imp) (Rubinstein I x Doruto x Amor), Harris Park Freestyler by the Oldenburger stallion Floriscount OLD (IFS) (Florencio I x Donnerhall x Walldorf I) and Harris Park Enigma (Dec) by the Westfalen stallion Estobar NRW (IFS) (Ehrentusch x Ferragamo x Florestan I).
In August 2024, Harris Park Riordan's co-owner, Charlotte Cox, has taken over full ownership of her. I wish both Charlotte and Riley all the best in their future together, where hopefully, I can still appreciate and cheer them on from the sidelines.
