HORSE DESCRIPTION
HPW Emmett RW (ET) (Everdale x Donnerschwee x Sandro Hit) is an Australian Warmblood stallion bred by Shanna Antrim of Harris Park Warmbloods via Revelwood Warmblood Stud's 'Designer Foal' program. Pictured left: HPW Emmett RW (ET) first novice start under co-owner-rider, Mattea Davidson, on 04 October 2020, aged 5 years, 11 months and 8 days old. Photo: OzShotz Photography ©
Emmett was born in the early hours of Wednesday 27 October 2014. A son of the KWPN 2012 Stallion Performance Test Champion Everdale (IFS) (Lord Leatherdale x Negro x El Corona) from V.Pr.St. Karmelita (Imp) (Donnerschwee x Sandro Hit x Karon), he did extremely well on the AWHA Ltd 2015 National Assessment Tour, receiving a number of lovely broad sashes and ribbons. Emmett was 3rd Highest Studbook Led in Australia, Highest Percentage Studbook Led in Queensland, 2nd Highest Percentage Open Led in Australia and also won both his classes (Class 1 - Studbook Led Weanling Male (1/13) and Class 47 - Open Led Weanling Male (1/7)). He was one of only four horses Australia wide over all ages and divisions to score over 90.00%!
Emmett commenced training at home with Fred Watkins of Watkins Horse Handlers in June 2017. In Janury 2018, Emmett was sent to Fred to be lightly started under saddle where he demonstrated a superb worth ethic. In April 2018, Emmett left for Oakey Veterinary Hospital (OVH) where he underwent phantom training with Dr David Pascoe. At the completion of his phantom training, Emmett returned to Fred where his training under saddle continued. He returned home to rest and further mature over the winter.
In February 2019, Emmett went to Davidsons Equestrian where Shane and Mattea Davidson trained Emmett for the in-hand and free jumping components required for Colt Selection with the AWHA Ltd. His training went well and he was subsequently classified with the AWHA Ltd on 21 March 2019. He is now an Approved Stallion with the AWHA Ltd and has an active breeding permit. It was then time to return home and further mature. In November 2019, Emmett returned to Oakey Veterinary Hospital where he was collected and his semen frozen. I now have a supply of quality frozen semen from him that is available to purchase, with or without a LFG.
January 2020, saw Harris Park Warmbloods enter a co-ownership with Shane and Mattea Davidson of Davidson Equestrian with Mattea to ride and campaign Emmett. Their first competition start was put on hold due to COVID-19, with them finally getting out in August 2020 for the Horseland Ipswich Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Club official 1C. Mattea and Emmett finished their first Prelim test in 2nd place (2/22), with the centreline judge having them in 1st place with a score of 73.393%. It will be exciting to watch their future career together unfold.
In July 2020, Emmett was accepted by ACE Group Inc. as a Preliminary Licensed stallion. During the 2022 ACE Group Inc. Tour, Emmett was assessed by Frank Weißkirchen who is an European licensed FN judge for all breeds. He is an accredited classifier for Warmbloods and pony registries throughout Europe including Westphalia. Frank also commentates for ClipMyHorse.tv for many major events in Germany.
On 22 March 2022, Emmett was assessed by Frank, gaining 'Fully Licensed' status with ACE Group Inc. Emmett scored 81.25% for 'Free Jumping' and 80.00% for 'Under Saddle', for an average of 80.625% for an ACE Group Inc. Elite award. Emmett was awarded a score of 9.0 twice, for Scope (Free Jumping), and Rideability and Temperament (Under Saddle). You can listen to Frank's comments on Emmett here.

Sire: Everdale (IFS) (Lord Leatherdale x Negro x El Corona), a son of the Rheinländer stallion Lord Leatherdale (Lord Loxley x Ferragamo x Anmarsch) who is making his mark with his progeny in the Young Horse tests. He presented three offspring that finished in the Top 10 at the 2011 PAVO Cup Finals and his Approved son Chippendale was the winner of the KWPN Stallion Show in early 2012. Pictured left: Everdale under British Olympic team gold medallist Carl Hester at the 2014 KWPN Stallion Competition Finals in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. Photo: DigiShots Photography ©
Everdale's damline is exceptionally strong. Aliska K (Negro x El Corona x Clavecimbel), is an Elite daughter by Negro (Ferro x Variant x Gondelier), who had a very successful FEI career and has had numerous offspring competing internationally, most noteably the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Individual Gold Medalist, Valegro. Due to the quality of his offspring, Negro has been awarded the coveted Preferent status by the KWPN.
Everdale's grandmother is the Keur Preferent mare Lisenka (El Corona x Clavecimbel x Farn). His great grandmother Ilya (Clavecimbel x Farn x Acer xx) is a full sister to the KWPN Approved Stallion Havidoff and holds the Ster, Preferent and Prestatie predicates. She has been very successful in breeding, having produced horses such as the Grand Prix dressage horse Huvema Tigro by Negro and the International show jumper Manouk by Hugo. The dam line continues with the Ster Preferent Prestatie mare Zabien (Farn x Acer xx x Utopia). Zabien's mother, Tenriejet, is also a Ster mare.
Another stunning example of the Lord Leatherdale x Negro combination, Everdale has been making his own mark over the years. He finished his 70 Day Stallion Performance Test with excellent scores including 9.0 points for walk, canter, rideability and attitude; and 8.5 points for trot, carriage and balance, and suitability as a dressage horse, with no score below 8.0 points. Everdale is a well developed stallion that exhibits a beautiful dressage type. He has a strong topline with a well connected loin and good muscling. His gaits are scopey and powerful with abundant elasticity and in his KWPN report he was particularily praised for his canter. Everdale is honest and diligent in his work and gives his rider a very positive feeling. These traits contributed to Everdale being named Champion of his Stallion Performance Test in 2012. In 2013, Everdale became the 4YO Grand Champion of the Pavo Cup Finals under Spanish rider Severo Jurado Lopez in Ermelo, The Netherlands. During the finals, Everdale scored a perfect 10 under German guest rider Anna Sophie Fiebelkorn.
Everdale is currently competing in the Small Tour and Young Riders division with UK dressage rider Charlotte Fry. He was the winner of his debut at Prix St George level on 71.12%. From his first year at stud Everdale boasts three Approved sons - the 2016 KWPN Performance Test Winner Inclusive, Inspire and Inverness, and multiple daughters which have scored well in their IBOP and EPTM (Mare Peformance Test) ability tests. He also has the NRPS Licensed sons Especial (Everdale x Vivaldi x San Remo), Evegro (Everdale x Negro x Monaco), Excellent (Everdale x Donnerhall x Akzent II) and Extra (Everdale x Havidoff x Recruut). Foals from his first season have been in high demand. In 2013, Ice King Texel (Everdale x Farmer x Caritas) was named KWPN Top Dressage Colt. He was also the top priced foal at the Elite Auction in Borculo, The Netherlands, selling to Blue Hors Stud for €36,000. In Time (Everdale x Goodtimes x Burggraaf) was also the top selling colt at the SELL Auction in Deurne, The Netherlands, selling for €56,000 to Bermuda Investments.

Dam: V.Pr.St. Karmelita (Imp/Dec) (Donnerschwee x Sandro Hit x Karon), a liver chestnut mare born in 2005, standing at an impressive 17 hh. She was imported to Australia from Germany in 2008 with the intention of becoming a top riding prospect, however due to an injury sustained in quarantine, she was not sound enough to continue under saddle. Karmelita has an amazing temperament, is a stunning type and has brilliant paces. Karmelita stems from a family of State Premium Mares and is herself a Verband Premium Mare with the Oldenburger Verband. Harris Park Warmbloods has also bred Emmett's half brother, HPW Dunham RW (ET) (by Diamond Hit), from Karmelita. Dunham was presented in the 2013 ACE Group Assessment Tour and although unwell at the time, he was awarded Premium with a score of 79.75% (78.00% for conformation and 81.50% for movement) with an individual score of 9 for his canter. Comments from Gerd Kuest included, "Very elastic uphill colt. Stallion prospect." A month later, Dunham took part in the TA Inc. and AWHA Ltd 2013 National Assessment Tour scoring 79.28%. The overall impression from Matthias Werner and Silvia Ahamer included, "Typey colt with harmonious body and topline. Special trot and canter, are modern and ground covering". HPW Dunham RW (ET) has since been sold to Mikala Thomas of Lismore, New South Wales. The pair are currently successfully competing in the 4YO Young Horse Dressage Classes.
Emmett's half sister, Pr.M. Revelwood Amaretta (Ampère x Donnerschwee x Sandro Hit), with owner-rider David Shoobridge, was the Best Hanoverian on Tour - 4yo Premium Mare. She was also the winner of the Mare Performance Test (MPT) for 2015 and the winner of the Dressage phase of the MPT. In 2014, this duo placed first in the First Round of the 4 Year Old Young Horse class at the Saddleworld Dressage Festival on 7.56 points. They went on to take second place in the Final Round on 7.38 points and subsequently were the 4 Year Old Reserve Champions! As a youngster, Amaretta was a Top 10 Foal on the 2011 Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia (HHSA) Tour. "110 foals were presented for registration. ... A filly by Ampère x Donnerschwee finished in a close second position. David Shoobridge from Revelwood bred this elegant filly, which impressed with her elastic trot movement." Excerpt from the June-July 2011 HHSA newsletter.
Emmett comes from a successful dam line tracing back to the immortal Donnerhall (Donnerwetter x Markus x Carnot). Elite Mare Loretta, who sired the well known and respected stallions Diamond Hit (Blue Hors Don Schufro x Ramino x Welt As), Royal Hit (Imp/Dec) (Royal Dance x Ramino x Welt As) and Sandro Hit (Sandro Song x Ramino x Welt As). Trakehner stallion Karon (Arogno x Ibikus x Impuls), sire of Caprimond, grandsire of Hohenstein and great grandsire of His Highness.

The Donnerhall son, Donnerschwee, is a stallion of the very highest quality, who is also a very high quality sire. He was the top lot of the 1992 Vechta elite auction at DM 220,000. His dam, SPS Weltwunder, was the champion mare in Aix la Chapelle in 1986. Donnerschwee’s first crop of nine foals, resulted in the premium stallion D-Day, who was tested in performance class I, and the SPS mares Doubleple, Fariola and Weissera. The latter won the 1996 Oldenburg State Riding Horse Championship and was third of the four year olds at the Federal Championship in Warendorf. She is meanwhile successful at advanced level. In 1999, the Donnerschwee daughter Geisha was the runner-up of the Oldenburg elite mare show in Rastede, before she was sold to the USA. In 2000, Donnerschwee made the headlines once more. His daughter Grace Kelly was awarded the state premium Diamond Ring, and became state vice-champion, ambassador of the Oldenburg Association at the state championship and one of the top auction lots at the Vechta autumn auction, where she was sold to the USA for DM 200,000. Donnerschwee’s second son Don Rubin was also approved and landed in the premium lot of the Oldenburg stallion approval, where he changed hands as the record-priced horse of the 2000 age group, for the sum of DM. 380,000. Donnerschwee himself celebrated triumphs in the dressage arena, with high placements at state and federal championships. He continued his sports career with ease, winning intermediate and advanced dressage competitions as well as Intermediaire I and being in the forefront at Grand Prix events.
When a colt by Donnerwetter out of Ninette by Markus-Carnot was born at Otto Gärtner's stud farm in Wenstein, Holstein on the 30th of May 1981, no-one could have imagined that the dark chestnut who was later christened Donnerhall, would one day stage a triumphant march through the equestrian world like no stallion before him. What's more, no other stallion has ever come close to achieving what the chocolate coloured chestnut Donnerhall managed in such a convincing manner, namely, the symbiosis of the dual qualities of being a successful competition sports horse and on the other hand being a top grade breeding horse. It was undoubtedly an encounter determined by destiny, that Donnerhall grew up on the memorable Otto Schulte-Frohlinde's Grönwoldhof studfarm.
On the occasion of the 1983 Oldenburg approval, the then still somewhat lean chestnut with the handsome blaze made a relatively unspectacular appearance. It did not take long however, until he had his first triumph. One year later, Donnerhall absolved his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf as vice-champion with a score of in excess of 130 points, exceeding all fellow contenders in the field of rideability, scoring 9.5. From that time onwards, Herbert and Karin Rehbein took over the training of Donnerhall, who proved to be a model student. Everything fitted together perfectly: Donnerhall's preparedness to perform, his rideability and first class basic gaits virtually predestined him for an international career in the dressage arena. In 1986 he was again in the limelight, becoming champion stallion of the DLG show in Hanover.
His following appearance under Karin Rehbein, who danced through the arena with him remains unforgotten until this day. In next to no time, Donnerhall and Karin Rehbein established themselves in the upper echelons of the dressage sport, easily managing the jump into the difficult advanced class. This was followed by high placements and wins in Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and optional Grand Prix events. In 1994, Donnerhall had not only already gained an outstanding reputation for himself as an exceptional sire through his approved sons, highly decorated daughters and numerous competition sports horses, but also returned home from the World Championships in the Hague with team gold and individual bronze medals, which he secured for himself following a fascinating freestyle performance. Then at the 1997 European Championship in Verden, Karin Rehbein and Donnerhall once again belonged to the golden team and won an additional individual bronze medal. Donnerhall was awarded Oldenburger Stallion of the Year in 1997 and 1998.
At the 1998 World Championships in Rome, Karin Rehbein and the meanwhile 17-year old stallion were once more part of the German gold medal team and gained an excellent fourth place in the individual rating. His sporting successes, substantiated by his life winnings of around DM 640,000 are no less significant than his importance as a hereditary transmitter. As of 2001, his breeding tally includes 77 approved sons, while of the more than 450 registered mares, 84 were awarded the state premium, including the champion mares Primavera and Hallo. Donnerhall's last public appearance under his rider Karin Rehbein at the gala evening of the 1998 Oldenburg approval, where children with lanterns formed a narrow passage through which Donnerhall strode magnificently, remains a warm and unforgettable memory.
Grand Sire: Sandro Hit (IFS) (Sandro Song x Ramino x Welt As) was the National Young Horse Champion and Young Dressage World Champion. Sandro Hit was licensed in Neumünster, Germany in 1993. In 1999, Sandro Hit was the six year old Dressage Horse World Champion and winner at the German Federal Championships in Warendorf, Germany. In 2000, Sandro Hit was Best Young Stallion 2000. Pictured left: Sandro Hit under saddle with his former rider Dr Ulf Möller at Paul Schockemöhle's stallion show in 2006. Photo: Kiki Beelitz ©.
Sandro Hit has to date, presented more than seventy approved sons, including the champion stallion Sandrit (Sandro Hit x Mistral II x Duett). Sandrit was the 1999 Approval Winner in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern-Pomerania. Other Sandro Hit sons include Sir Willson (Sandro Hit x Canaster I x Cosinus B) Zuchtverband fur deutsche Pferde (ZfDP) Champion Stallion of 2002, Stedinger (Sandro Hit x Landadel x Futuro) winner of the 2002 Oldenburg Stallion Days and Samba Hit II (Sandro Hit x Brentano II x Gotland) (Brandenburg 2004). Sommerhit (Sandro Hit x Fruhlingsbote x Adept) was runner-up in Berlin-Brandenburg and Sandro Ace (Sandro Hit x Feinbrand x Camden Town xx) became vice-champion in Oldenburg.
Sandro Hit had as many as ten licensed sons from his first foaling year and his daughter Poetin (Sandro Hit x Brentano II x Gotland) was two-time Young Horse World Champion and Young Horse National Champion. Poetin sold for a record price of 2.5 million €. Sandro Hit has the highest sire index of 153 points in Germany, with 88% predictability in his descendant's performance.
Sandro Hit's sire, Sandro Song (Sandro x Gepard x Adlerorden) was Oldenburger Champion Young Stallion and Main Premium Champion. Sandro Hit's dam Elite Stute Loretta (Ramino x Welt As x Luciano) produced the Reserve World Champion and Reserve German Young Horse Champion Diamond Hit and the premium stallion Royal Hit (Imp) (Royal Dance x Ramino x Welt As). Her sire Ramino (Ramiro x Domink x Gospodin) was Stallion Performance Test Champion and later on five times Italian Champion.
Ramino was the winner of the 1983 stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. He was the second Reserve Champion at the Oldenburg Main Premium. In 1987, with Melanie Kötter, Ramino helped secure team gold medal at the European Championships for juniors in jumping. The years 1989-1995 with Loris Pujatti, he was five-time Italian Champion. Ramino has won many firsts and high placings in Nation's Prizes and Grand Prix. Ramino's sire Ramiro (Raimond x Cottage Son xx x Logenschliesser), was a legendary sire and jumper. Ramino's dam Dom Buche (Dominik x Gospodin x Hadrian) was a successful show jumper. Ramino was Dom Buche's third approved son in a row.
Euro Dressage - Sandro Hit euphoria at one of the best Oldenburg stallion licensings ever (2006 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing).
Sandro Hit (IFS) (Sandro Song x Ramino x Welt As) is available to Australian Warmblood breeders via frozen semen through International Horse Breeders (IHB) from Deckstation Paul Schockemöhle in Mühlen, Germany.
