Three lovely - expressive trot, big scopey canter and an active, energetic walk. Gráinne combines the Graf Landau lines of both movement and jumping.
Half sister to Jocelyn Hutton's Kinnordy Ricorso (River Dance x Silky Baby (USA) 1978 x Ruling (USA) 1970).
Olympic representative KS Genoa (Graf Landau x Fast Khan xx x Head over Heels xx) with rider Peter McMahon.
In January 2016, Gráinne came third in Mare 6 to 11 Years of Age WPRB led class Nationally in the AWHA Ltd 2016 National Assessment Tour. With an overall score of 75.00% (3/3) with individual scores of 7.5 for walk, 7.75 for trot and 7.5 for canter. Comments by the assessors included, "Good conformation, fluid canter, attractive mare of sound type." Gráinne was also classified on the day and is now designated as an AWHA Ltd Warmblood Foundation Mare (WFM) in the Class 'A' Register.

Sire: Grand Ouverte (Graf Landau x Winterkönig x Wolfsburg) combines the best Hanoverian bloodlines with his sire Graf Landau (Imp/Dec) and maternal sire Winterkönig (Imp/Dec) having produced numerous winners in dressage, jumping and eventing as well as producing valuable broodmares with winning progeny. At the 1999 Hanoverian Licensing held in Sydney, Grand Ouverte received excellent scores from the Hanoverian Commission due to his exceptional movement in all gaits and jumping ability to match. Only due to an injury, Grand Ouverte could not be competed. Grand Ouverte's full sister E.Pr.M. Kinnordy Gala was awarded the Hanoverian Premium Mare title and was graded Elite Mare. Gráinne is from his first foal crop which were born in 2004 and are true to type.
Grand Ouverte now stands at GZ Sporthorses in South Australia.

Dam Sire: Graf Landau (Imp/Dec) (Genever x Wendekreis x Götz) HANOVERIAN STALLION by Genever/Wendekreis 1984, grey, 168 cm. Licenced and performance tested. Graf Landau's pedigree is bursting with important sires such as Genever, Gotthard, Wendekreis, Ferdinand, Domspatz and Goetz, all of them responsible for at least one or more world champions. Like his paternal grand sire, Gotthard, he is undeniably influenced by the stamp sire Amurath ox and is therefore getting even more impressive with maturity. Graf Landau has produced numerous horses with big movement and great jumping ability. A number of classy dressage horses, premium broodmares and more recently several talented showjumpers and eventers - Kinnordy Goerlitz, Grand Prix showjumper, KS Genoa representig AUS at the WEG, Aachen 06 and finalist at the Olympic Games, Hong Kong 08) and Watermark Grayson, 3* eventer, proving the invaluable genes of the Gotthard line, now so much sought after in Europe.
