Pedigree Information

Blickpunkt IV (IFS)

Blickpunkt IV (IFS) (Belissimo M NRW x Fidermark x Worldchamp). UELN 276441411237305 (Westfalen).

Liver chestnut stallion, born 2005, 16.3 hh - 170 cms.

Breeder: Margret Grigoleit.

Winner of his thirty day Stallion Performance Test (HLP) at Radegast, Germany in 2009.

Blickpunkt IV (IFS)Blickpunkt IV (IFS), a Belissimo M NRW son with a magnificent liver chestnut coat, is once more proof of the outstanding hereditary qualities of his sire. Blickpunkt was the winner of the 30 Day Stallion Performance Test at Radegast, Germany in 2008, with an overall score of 8.58 points (1/15). His dressage index was 8.55 points (?/15) and his jumping index was 8.38 (?/15). Pictured left: Blickpunkt. Photo: Kiki Beelitz ©

The preliminary notes saw Blickpunkt receive 10.0 points for character, 9.0 points for temperament, motivation and constitution, 8.50 points for each of his gates (walk, trot and canter), 9.0 points for rideability and 8.0 points for jumping ability. During the performance test, he received 9.0 points for his trot, 8.25 points for his walk and canter, and 8.50 points for his jumping ability. He received a score of 8.50 points for rideability from the test rider. In 2008, Blickpunkt qualified for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, Germany.

Blickpunkt impressively reconfirmed this talent becoming Vice Champion of the 70 Day Stallion Performance Test in Radegast, Germany, in September, 2009, with a general index of 121.81 points (2/24). His dressage index was 127.59 points (2/24) and his jumping index was 110.29 (7/24).

Blickpunkt's sire, Belissimo M NRW (Beltain x Romadour II x Lucius xx), has outstanding qualities being a top auction horse, record breaking stallion performance test winner, Bundeschampion and a finalist at the World Championship for young dressage horses. After a longer sport break he started in 2011 directly at the advanced (S) level and achieved straight away victories and placings in Grand-Prix classes under Hayley Beresford. He finished the Olympic qualification for London 2012 as best horse of the Australian team.

Belissimo M NRW set records including nine Stallion Performance Test winners and four Vice Performance Test winners among 46 Licensed Stallions are probably world record! 85 state premium mares, among them, champion mares in Hanover, Bavaria and Westphalia as well as the 2012' Rhineland Champion Mare speak for his stability in inheritance. In addition, there are five Bundeschampions and, with Blickpunkt, there is a double bronze medal winner of the World Championship for young dressage horses in Verden. Callaho' Benicio became with fantastic scores Bundeschampion of six-year old dressage horses in Warendorf in 2011. Further winners of championships and many high-priced auction horses worldwide – with 572,000 Euro (Denmark) his daughter Belandra was one of the top horses at the PSI in Ankum – are caused by Belissimo M NRW's resounding inheritance of riding quality. In 2011, his oldest offspring could compete in the advanced (S) class for the first time – already 15 of them were successful at this stage in 2012, several times even as winners. Meanwhile, there is even a Grand Prix winner, named Bella Rose under Isabell Werth, among them!

According to FN's estimated breeding value statistics he is positioned, for years, nationwide among the top sires as dressage sire (153 index points in 2012) – and this also with a positive breeding value for the inheritance of jumping (106 points). The Hanoverian estimated breeding value statistics place him with 147 points for the dressage quality of his performance tested daughters with the very best – and that with impressive evaluations also for the inheritance of riding horses (142 points) as well as the fundament (159 points!).

This resounding inheritance is the result of systematic performance breeding. The sire Beltain was himself successful in the dressage arena up to advanced (S) class and originates from one of the most successful mare lines of Hanover: His dam is full sister of the Celle State Stud sires Garibaldi I and II and granddam of Wolkenstein I and II as well as of the Grand Prix dressage horse Little Big Man; also the Celle State Stud sires Brentano I and II as well as Beauvalais (e.g. 2002' vice world champion in Jerez, Olympic bronze medal in Athens 2004) belong to them. Belissimo's dam Roxa produced, when bred to Boss, three in dressage up to advanced (S) level successful full siblings: Bonnie Bianco, Baccarole and Boutique.

As recognition of his breeder's significance Belissimo M NRW has been honoured in a way that only a few top stallions has been given to: He now is allowed to perform as representative of his homeland, as Belissimo M NRW! Also the Holsteiner Verband honoured his extraordinary breeding qualities already in 2010 and granted him exceptionally the approval to breed Holsteiner mares as a sire of a foreign bloodline.

Belissimo M NRW's sire Beltain (Bolero x Grande x Marcio xx) fulfilled his breeding requirements through his successes in Advanced dressage classes and very effectively revitalised the Bolero bloodline. He was bred from one of the most valuable mare lines of the Hanoverian breed. His dam, St.Pr.St. Gänseliesel (Grande x Marcio xx x Duellant), is a full sister to Garibaldi I and II and the Grand Prix dressage horse Little Big Man/Falk Rosenbauer, and is moreover the granddam of the approved trio of brothers Wolkenstein I, II and III.

Belissimo's dam St.Pr.St. Roxa won a district show and gave birth to the full siblings Bonnie Bianco, Baccarole and Boutique (Boss x ? x ?) as well as to Belissimo M's full sister St.Pr.St. Belissima. Her sire, the DLG Champion Romadour II (Romulus I x Grunfink x Dorn), ushered in a new era in the breeding of dressage horses through his progeny. The grandam Lady also produced St.Pr.St. Roxa's full brother Royal Dancer, who won Intermediate level dressage competitions. Lucius xx (Antonio Canale xx x Ticino xx x Tourbillon xx) on the dam's side of the pedigree also introduced valuable Thoroughbred blood. Apart from Belissimo NRW, the maternal bloodline of Welfe (Welfenprinz x Föhnzauber x Fliegersport) brought forth successful sports horses for all disciplines, including the stallions Cash and Fly (? x ? x ?) private stallion in Holstein, Cinamant K (Carte D'Or x Amant I x Romadour II) private stallion in Westphalia, and Pluco (Pilot x Frühlingstraum II x Lucius xx) private stallion in Oldenburg, Rhineland and Saxony.

At his 30 day test in Zweibrücken, Belissimo NRW set a new record with 9.63 (?/11) points for dressage and 8.77 points (X/11) for for jumping with an overall score of 9.25 points (X/11). This was the highest result which has ever been achieved in this test. The maximum score of 10.0 points appears four times in his test report. Belissimo NRW had earlier been celebrated as the top horse of the NRW Autumn Auction in Münster-Handorf, Germany, in 2002. In 2003 he became Federal Champion of four year old stallion in Warendorf, Germany. In the following year he was nominated for the World Championship for five year old dressage horses in Verden, where he won one part of the qualification test with 9.38 points. In the World Championship final Belissimo NRW came fifth. Several of Belissimo NRW's progeny have sold for top prices at auctions in Münster-Handorf and Verden in Germany.

Despite the early retirement of Blickpunkt's dam sire Fidermark I (Florestan I x Wether x Einblick), he belongs to the very best dressage sires of his generation according to performance and breeding record (FN's dressage breeding value of 150 points). Fidermark I is beyond doubt the most successful son of the legendary trademark stallion Florestan I. Through Worldchamp the important blood of the famous Hanoverian star sires World Cup I (Wörmann x Sender x Lugano I) and Argentan I (Absatz x Wohlan x Lateran) come into the pedigree; along with the Rheinländer Champion Stallion Pasternak (Patron x Wortschwall x Dekan) who is typed by proven noble Trakehner blood.

Sport successes highlight the influence of the performance sires Frühlingsball (Frühling x Radetzky x Drall) and Perseus (Pluchino xx x Ramzes x x Oxyd) and point to their value as ancestors of this successful dam line. Three State Premium Mares in the direct maternal line also give emphatic proof of the top class conformation qualities of this well bred dam line. Several dressage (Rashaan Badu, Fiona) and jumping horses (Dennoch, Lido) with achievements up to Advanced class give further proof of the high sport value of this line.

His sire Fidermark had an exemplary career. He was Reserve Champion of the North Rhine-Westphalian approval in 1994, winner of the Stallion Performance test in Warendorf in 1995, winner of the "Optimum", a prize for Westphalian riding horses in Münster in 1996, and also won the German Federal Championship of four-year-old stallions that year. In 2000 he was finalist in the Nuremberg Cup ("Burg-Pokal") with Marlies van Baalen/NED, and was victorious up to Grand Prix level in the following time. Fidermark, who died far too early in 2003, presented more than 30 approved sons, including the champion stallion Fidertanz, the stallion performance test winner Fiano, the federal vice-champion Farewell III, and Feinsinn NRW/Caroline van der Linde, who is part of the German young riders' squad. His daughter Falbala was chosen as the winner of the 2004 Westphalian Elite Mare Show in Münster-Handorf. In 2002, his daughter Fantastica took first place at the same location, and then also became runner-up at the Federal Mare Show in Neustadt-Dosse in the category of show-oriented mares. The Fidermark son Fürst Fabio won the German Federal Championship of three-year-old riding horses in 2002. His son Fidergold became the highest-priced horse at the auction in Münster-Handorf in 2004. A full-sister of Falsterbo was awarded state premium mare, and a half-sister of his is the most successful young dressage horse competing at advanced level in Canada. Falsterbo.

His sire Fidermark was reserve champion of the 1994 North Rhine-Westphalian approval, and the unchallenged winner in the performance test of the Warendorf state stallions in 1995. In 1996 he won the "Optimum", a prize for Westphalian riding horses, in Münster, and was also victorious at the German Federal Championship of four-year-old stallions. Moreover, he was victorious at the LVM Stallion Championships in Münster-Handorf, and qualified for the final of the Nuremberg Cup ("Burg- Pokal") in the Frankfurt Festival Hall with Marlies van Baalen/NED in 2000. After that he attained wins up to Grand Prix class until his untimely demise in 2003. In 2004 Fidermark's son Fidertanz became the winner of the NRW approval. His daughter Falbala was champion mare of the Westphalian Elite Mare Show. The Fidermark daughter Fantastica, North Rhine- Westphalian champion mare in 2002, became runner-up at the Federal Mare Show in Neustadt-Dosse in the category of showoriented mares in the same year. Fidermarks son Feinsinn NRW and his rider Caroline van der Linde are part of the German young riders' squad. The dam Riga presented four approved stallion sons in four successive years – Farewell I, Farewell II, Farewell III and Farewell IV. The grandam, state premium mare Anastasia, also gave birth to the successful advanced dressage horse Wenezia (by Worldchamp) and to Dolega (by Democraat), who won intermediate dressage tests. Anastasia's full-sister Alexa is the dam of the Warendorf state stallion Rosenquarz.

In August, 2011, as a six year old, Blickpunkt suffered from a colic attack and underwent colic surgery. Unfortunately he had contracted one of his testicles up into his abdomen and it was necessary for him to have an emergency castration. Prior to his castration, Blickpunkt had an outstanding crop of foals on the ground. He competed successfully with Australian rider Hayley Beresford in Germany. In June, 2013, Hayley Beresford placed fifth on Blickpunkt in their first Prix St Georges class at Silverthof in Erkenschwick, Germany, scoring 67.10 % in strong competition. "Blickpunkt is one of my most impressive upcoming stars," Hayley said.

Blickpunkt is now soley owned by Eduardo, Gabrielle and Rory Fischer and is ridden by Dr Cesar Parra. Pan American Games Dressage Gold medalist Dr Parra said, "Blickpunkt is a high quality horse that is really starting to come into his own. He has super gaits and conformation for the sport, and is really an eye catcher. He has a lot of talent for piaffe and passage so we're working toward Grand Prix."
