Harris Park Duhamel (ET) (Dornkaart x Smash Hit x Stirling Luther) is an Australian Warmblood gelding bred by Shanna Antrim of Harris Park Warmbloods. Harris Park Duhamel (Dougie) was born in the early morning of Saturday 14th December, 2013.
Harris Park Duhamel is a son of the imported Hanoverian AWHA Ltd Approved Hanoverian Stallion Dornkaart (Imp/Exp) (Don Primero x Pik Bube I x Lanthan) out of my AWHA Ltd Head Stud Book mare Harris Park Salienta (Smash Hit x Stirling Luther x Valuta). Harris Park Duhamel is a ½ brother to Harris Park Digby (D'Dur x Smash Hit x Stirling Luther).
Duhamel's sire, Dornkaart, was competing Advanced and PSG with rider Ian Smith (AUS) and is related to the living legend Blue Hors Don Schufro. Both Don Schufro and Dornkaart's sire, Don Primero, are by Donnerhall out of full sisters Fantasia (Don Primero) and Fiesta (Don Schufro) (Pik Bube I x Unkenruf x Herold). Dornkaart and Mel Van Den Berge were named on the 2014 National Futures Squad for Dressage in December 2013.
Duhamel's dam, the AWHA Ltd Head Stud Book mare Harris Park Salienta (Smash Hit x Stirling Luther x Valuta), competed up to EvA 105 under event rider Jessica Manson. She participated in the 2014 AWHA Ltd National Assessment Tour scoring 85.00% (3/9).

Born in February, 2006, Dornkaart was purchased from the Elite Auction in Verden, Germany, and imported to Australia in the same year. In 2009, at his first two competitions, he qualified for the 4 Year Old Young Horse Class for Dressage with the Stars. Although he did not make the trip to Victoria, Karingal Equestrian were thrilled with his efforts scoring upwards of 68.4%. In 2010 Dornkaart had one outing at the AWHA NSW Branch Gala Day and Hawkesbury Dressage day due to other commitments by Karingal Equestrian. He won both his dressage tests with 65.455% in the prelim and 67.188% in the novice, also winning prizes at the Gala Day. In 2011 he quickly moved up the ranks by teaming up with Mel Van Den Berge. This new combination came with lots of exciting achievements scoring in the 70's in both novice and elementary tests. He finished his first serious competition year at the Nationals coming seventh overall in Elementary with some fantastic comments. In 2011 Dornkaart also gained Approved status with the AWHA Ltd at his colt classification taking out Premium Stallion of the classification. To top off an excellent year, he was named on the Australian Futures Squad with Mel Van Den Berge.
2012 also proved to be a successful year for Dornkaart and Mel, being named the Reserve Medium Champions at the Queensland State Dressage Championships in October, 2012. He has proven to be incredibly trainable and talented with very forward movement that is uphill with lovely cadence. He has been very competitive, winning or placing at most competitions he attended in 2012, also competing at the New South Wales State and National Championships.
Dornkaart's sire, Don Primero (Donnerhall x Pik Bube I x Unkenruf), has little left to prove in the world of international dressage, nor as a sire of top quality dressage competitors. Don Primero descends from the first crop of foals by Donnerhall (Donnerwetter x Markus x Carnot) and is considered to be an excellent example of the Donnerhall x Pik Bube I (Pik Konig x Frustra II x Domspatz) breeding combination. In 1990, Don Primero won the Bundeschampionate with rider Heiko Munzmaier.
In 1987 he became a premium stallion at the Oldenburg licensing and was proclaimed elite sire in 2006. The 161 cm standing Don Primero was Donnerhall's first licensed son.
He was the world's leading dressage sire for four consecutive years and earned an incredible 194 index in 2003. Don Primero illustrates the positive nick of Donnerhall on Pik Bube mares to the "nth" degree, and is also following in his sire's footsteps as a top level dressage star. Three of his male descendants already received a breeding licence: the 1999 Bundeschampion Don Larino, Don Duriello and Don Bravio.
Don Primero has sired many successful offspring such as Cherie (Don Primero x Lanthan x ?), Dynamico (Don Primero x Weltmeyer x Novize) and Devil's Bride (Don Primero x Castro x Ramiro As).
Dornkaart's dam Piroschka is by the famous Pik Bube I who was a genius on the international dressage scene with a series of overwhelming successes. He is also well known as the sire of many licensed and proven young stallions, and it is through him that the grandiose Thoroughbred blood of Pik As xx exerts much of its influence.

Don Primero (Donnerhall x Pik Bube I x Unkenruf) was the number one stallion for dressage breeding values for four consecutive years. His Hanoverian daughters rank him as the number one dressage sire based on their scores for gaits and rideability as graded in their Mare Performance Tests, even surpassing his sire Donnerhall (Donnerwetter x Markus x Carnot). Don Primero won classes in conformation and showjumping as a young stallion and in 1990 became the German National 5 Year Old Dressage Champion, ridden by Karin Rehbein. He also won Grand Prix Competitions at International level. Don Primero's offspring have inherited his performance ability with his offspring competing at the highest levels of dressage. He also has progeny competing at advanced levels in showjumping, three day eventing and even driving. Don Primero now stands in Sweden and is owned by Anna Bjorkman-Roos. His full-brother, Don Schufro has been exported to Sweden.
Don Primero is one of Donner Hall's most successful breeding sons. "Breeding" sons. He has competed successfully for many years in the Gran Prix level in dressage and has proven that he is a remarkable result of a successful racehorse and breeding family and to his ability to produce top dressage horses has helped him to get the highest dressage index in Germany.
The last 7 years, he has been top 10 in the United breeding value and in 1998 he became 2: a In 2001 he became number 1 on Hannoveraner Federation breeding index list with a score of 188, two points more than his father Donnerhall. In 2002 he expanded his lead over Donner Hall, Now his breeding value up in the "incredible" 194 points, nine points more than 2 placed Donnerhall and 20 points more than Weltmeyer. On two occasions, has Hannoveraner Association ranked Don Primero as number nr1 and the result of the best dressage horses. Don Primero has sired hundreds framgångsika racing horses and over 50 of them competing in FEI level across Europe, he is also the father of two horses who has won the Young Horse Championships (Keystone DiMaggio and Cheri) His daughters have high scores over the whole world. Don Primeros grandmother, Fabiola, was successful international showjumper. With the majority of profits "in Conformation shows," Don Primero has also investments that jumper early in his career. 1990 Don Primero won the German dressage horse race with a final score of 9.3 and has since developed into a top dressage star and breeding stallion. In 1993, he was the winner of the 10 FEI dressage competitions. To date, he has 12 approved sons and 5 Hannovraner Association, and one is Don Larino who in 1999 became "Federal Champion" for 3-year-old horses. Bundeschampion and was ranked the 1st "Main Premium Champion stallion" Another son Decarpentry was winner of his 100 day test and came 2nd for his rideability, the score was 142.47.
Sadly, on 8th May, 2012, Don Primero passed away at Markebäcks Gård in Sweden at twenty seven years of age.
Pik Bube was himself a successful sire in his own right, but more importantly he became one half of the magic equation: Donnerhall x Pik Bube - for the overwhelming majority of successful Donnerhall progeny are out of mares by Pik Bube. It was a great surprise when the head of the State Stud Celle, Christian von Steglin failed to include Pik Bube in the 'Celle Lot' (the state stud director has first pick of the successful young stallions) and let him go to the glamorous Grönwohldhof studfarm - where he formed a hugely successful partnership with resident trainer, Herbert Rehbein. They won 11 out of 12 advanced classes in their only competition season in 1980.
Pik Bube's sire, Pik König is considered the most important son of the famous Thoroughbred sire of showjumpers, Pik As xx. Pik König sired 19 Approved sons and 22 State Premium mares. His offspring - such as Pirol 37 - were mainly successful in showjumping. With a dressage index of 126, and a jumping index of 131, Pik König had an overall rating of 129. His sire, Pik As xx stood at the State Stud Celle from 1953-69, where he sired four approved sons.

Pik As was only 157 cm tall but according to Claus Schridde in his survey Thoroughbred sires in Hanover (II) in Z Magazine, June/July 2005 ( www.zangersheide.com ) "far from tall, Pik As looked great and always made a deep impression at his presentations. At stud at Hohnstof in the Arlenburger Elbe polder, the superbly bred female stock in that region offered him enormous opportunities which he did not waste. With top class progeny such as Pesgö under Helga Köhler and Porta Westfalica ridden by Hartwig Steenken, he soon earned a good reputation as a showjumping horse producer. He hardly produced any dressage horses. State stud Celle had kept three sons from the last seasons in his career: the dark brown Pik König, the chestnut, Pik Junge and the grey Pikör... Pik König... developed into a top-class showjumping horse producer. His sons Pik Bube I and II even produced many dressage horses." Pik Bube's dam, Franka also produced the full-brother, Pik Bube II and the advanced dressage horse, Poseidon 30. Her dam, Dohlenfurstin, was an international showjumper under the name Daniela. Dohlenfurstin is also the dam of Grand Prix showjumper, Prince Charming. Franka is by Frustra II was a crucially important dam sire in the Hanoverian studbook, stallions such as Donkosak, Drosselklang I & II, Goldfalk, Graphit, Gralsritter, Imperial, Löwenstein, Piaff, Wachmann I & II, Webefunk, and many more, were out of mares by Frustra II. Pik Bube I sired performers in all disciplines. His daughter, Pikantje was Federal German riding horse champion of 1981, and Pik Bube's Girl won the 1990 Federal Mare Show in Verden. Pik Primaire, Pik Royal were amongst the 49 of his offspring that were successful in advanced dressage, while 19 showjumpers achieved advanced level. Perhaps the most successful of his stallion sons has been Piaster who stands in Bavaria, Pik Labonics has been a successful sire for the Westfaliens, and Pommery has produced some useful progeny in Hanover. His son, Pik Noir competed successfully in dressage and was the sire of Prinz Paul, who placed 3rd in the six year old Dressage Championship at the 2001 Bundeschampionate. As a brood mare sire, Pik Bube has been a phenomenon, especially when teamed with Donnerhall: Davignon, Don Primero, Don Schufro, Donatelli, Donnerbube, Dream of Glory, Duntroon - all bred on that magic cross Donnerhall/Pik Bube. At the height of his powers, at the age of 18, Pik Bube suddenly broke down under his rider and died almost immediately - his was a great loss.
Pik Bube was a genius on the international dressage scene with a series of overwhelming successes. He's also well known as the sire of many licensed and proven young stallions, and it is through him that the grandiose thoroughbred blood of Pik As XX exerts much of its influence. He was undoubtedly the best known son of the outstanding Celle State Stud, Pik König, who in turn was the finest son of Pik As XX. Under Herbert Rehbein, Pik Bube won 11 of the 12 advanced dressage tests that he competed in. His licensed sons are asked for all over Germany, and his progeny have been getting record prices at auctions such as PSI- Ankum, Vechta, and Verden. You will find his offspring competing in dressage to Grand Prix and Jumping to the International S-Level. Pik Bube was licensed in Verden in 1975, and was Vice-Champion at his 100-Day Test at Adelheidsdorf in 1976. He has sired 16 licensed sons and 28 state's premium mares.
